I guarantee all the parents and others that keep a good and watchful eye on their children will show up and all the parents who "think" they are great parents yet their kids are the worst behaved in the school will NOT come. It happens every time.

Lola,
How many of these do you go to?

Yoni,
My kids are all adults but when they were small - all of them for a few years until I realized that the only people attendending were the ones who paid attention to their kids and didn't need it.

Thank you Esther. This is an important post. I believe this lecture is open to all adults in the community, rather than limited to those with small children. Perhaps we all can learn something that will help keep our children, grandchildren or young neighbors safe. To paraphrase Hillary Clinton, it takes a village to raise a child.

Yes, Anonymous 1:07 am it does take a village but I refer back to my previous post. Parents must be open to others caring about their children. Aftering hearing about how this was a warm and caring community where we all cared about each other's children, I told one child (aobut 10 years old) that she shouldn't really be cursing out her mother the way she was, especially to her face. This same mother prided herself on how "we all care for each other's children". The mother then started cursing me out, asking who I though I was talking to her daugher like that. Hypocracy or was I talking to OORF without knowing it?

It takes a village... yes, and just one village idiot to ruin a blog!!

It would appear it also takes a village idiot to CREATE the blog in the first place!
