"Due to a lack of rainfall, high temperatures and low reservoir levels in the United Water NJ system, the Bergen County Executive has issued mandatory lawn watering restrictions in the United Water NJ Bergen County area".
Those with even house numbers can water their lawns on even days of the month between 7am and 10am or 7pm and 10pm and those with odd house numbers can water their lawns on odd days of the month between 7am and 10am or 7pm and 10pm.
Violators will be notified via doorhanger and will face possible shutoff if they do not comply. Notifications will be at least 24 hours before any shutoff.
