Get ready to clean out those garages!

According to the article in today's Record (link here), the town will soon be doubling its collection of recyclables from every four weeks to every two. They will also be adding mixed paper and cardboard to the list of acceptable items.

"Residents will receive a 32-gallon container for cans and bottles before the pickups begin Jan. 3, as well as a calendar outlining the new schedule."

"The township also will reduce the hours of the recycling depot, although the specific times have not yet been determined, Broughton said."
I don't know about you, but the current system just led to a stack of cardboard in either the basement or the garage until it got unmanageable, so this is a welcome change as far as I'm concerned.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you are more likely to through recyclable items into the regular trash because of the current system? Tell us in the poll on the left.
